Sanford Heavy Duty Dry Iron Box

• The Sanford Heavy-Weight Dry Iron is a basic dry iron / “iron box” — not a steam iron. It’s designed to press and smooth clothes using a heated soleplate, without water/steam.

• “Heavy-weight” (or “heavy-duty / heavy-weight”) means the iron is heavier than light travel irons — weight helps apply pressure on fabric for better crease removal

Key Features

• Power: around 1100–1200 W

• Soleplate: Non-stick / ceramic-coated  to help it glide smoothly over different fabrics without sticking or scorching.

• Adjustable Temperature: User can select different temperature settings to suit different fabric types (e.g. cotton, synthetics) — helps avoid damaging delicate clothes.

• Weight & Pressure: The heavier body gives extra pressure on garments, making ironing more effective especially on thicker fabrics like denim, canvas, or heavy cotton.

• Durability / Build: as “heavy-weight dry iron” with a robust build, which makes it suitable for regular or frequent ironing.

• Corded Operation: It is a standard corded iron, with a swivel cord to allow flexible movement when ironing.

 What It’s Good For

• Ironing heavy fabrics (jeans, thick cottons, canvas) where pressure helps flatten wrinkles.

• Simple, regular ironing tasks — shirts, trousers, bedsheets — when you don’t need steam or extra features.

• Users who prefer a straightforward, durable, no-nonsense iron without fuss (no water, no steaming, easier maintenance).

• Situations where water/steam irons are impractical — e.g. in places with unreliable water quality or frequent power fluctuations (steam irons sometimes are more sensitive).
