How to Lubricate a Treadmill Belt

1. Check the Manual
   Always refer to the treadmill’s user manual for lubricant compatibility and instructions. Using the wrong type can damage the treadmill.
2. Turn Off and Unplug
   For safety, ensure the treadmill is completely off and unplugged before starting.
3. Expose the Deck
   Loosen the belt slightly (if necessary) to access the deck underneath.
4. Apply Lubricant
   • Apply the lubricant to the deck surface, focusing on the area under the belt. Use about 1-2 oz for most applications.
   • Avoid applying too much, as excess lubricant can attract dust and dirt.
5. Spread Evenly
   • Walk on the treadmill at a low speed for 5-10 minutes to distribute the lubricant evenly.
   • Wipe off any excess lubricant from the sides of the belt.
6. Re-Tighten and Test
   Tighten the belt to the recommended tension and test the treadmill at different speeds to ensure proper functioning.

Frequency of Lubrication

• For light to moderate use: Every 3-6 months.
• For heavy use: Every 1-3 months.
