Chapati  maker is a type of unleavened flatbread that is commonly consumed in South Asia, particularly in countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. It is also known by various names in different regions, such as roti, phulka, or paratha.

Chapatis are made from a simple dough consisting of whole wheat flour, water, and sometimes salt or oil. The dough is kneaded until it becomes smooth and pliable. Small portions of the dough are then rolled into thin, circular shapes using a rolling pin and a flat surface, such as a wooden board or countertop.

Once the chapati is rolled out, it is cooked on a hot griddle or tawa. The griddle is usually made of cast iron or another heat-conductive material. The chapati is placed on the hot surface and cooked until it puffs up and develops light brown spots on both sides. It is typically cooked without any added oil or fat.

Chapatis are a staple in many South Asian households and are often served with a variety of dishes such as curries, lentils, vegetables, or yogurt. They can be torn into smaller pieces and used to scoop up the accompanying dishes, acting as a utensil. Chapatis are versatile and can also be enjoyed with spreads, chutneys, or as wraps for fillings like vegetables, paneer (Indian cottage cheese), or meat.

The simplicity of the ingredients and the ease of preparation have made chapatis a popular choice for everyday meals. They are not only delicious but also provide a good source of carbohydrates, fiber, and nutrients.
